How to apply Tatu-Derm.

Instructions for applying Tatu-Derm.

Prepare Skin for Tatu-Derm Application

1. Clean and prepare tattoo area according to facility protocool.

2. Blot excess moisture and allow surrounding skin to dry completely.

    * To enhance adhesion and wear times:

    a. Shave excess hair extending beyond the tattoo area to size of intended coverage.

    b. Allow all liquid products on the skin to dey completely before applying Tatu-derm product.

    c. To enhance adhesion near edges of Tatu-Derm product, remove body oils, soap and lotion from skin lightly cleaning  skin surrounding tattooed area with isopropyl alcohol.

AVOID ALCOHOL CONTACT OF TATTOO OR BROKEN SKIN.

    * To avoid unnecessary skin trauma, do not stretch Tatu-Derm during application.

APPLICATION    

1. Remove sheet from pouch.
2. Use full shet or cut sheet to a smaller size with clean gloves and scissors.
3. Peel off the extended liner from the adhesive side and discard.
4. Position the exposed adhesive surface over the tattoo and apply gentle pressure.
5. Working from the center backing slit, slowly peel the backing strip from the sheet.
6. Gently smooth the Tatu-Derm sheet, from the center toward the edges, while removing the backing strip to minimize air under the Tatu-Derm sheet.  Apply gentle pressure to enhance adhesion.  Avoid stretching the Tatu-Derm sheet during application.

LENGTH OF USE

• Initial Tatu-Derm application should be in place for 12 to 24 hours. Following applications can be place for 24 to 48 hours.
• Clean with a mild soap and water between applications. Allow skin to dey completely before re-applying Tatu-Derm product.
• Small amounts of wound exudate may accumulate under Tatu-Derm product and is expected during the normal healing process. Change Tatu-Derm product when drainage or pooling under Tatu-Derm product occurs.
• Tatu-Derm is effective as long as it adheres to the skin with no gaps. If it becomes loose, it is no longer an effective barrier and should be removed.

REMOVAL OF TATU-DERM

Support the skin while removing Tatu-Derm product. Use one of the following removal techniques:

* Gently grasp one edge and slowly peel Tatu-Derm product from the skin in the direction of hair growth. Avoid skin trauma by peeling Tatu-Derm product back, rather than pulling it up from the skin.

OR

* Grasp one edge of the Tatu-Derm product and gently pull it straight out to stretch it and release adhesion. Remember to peel the Tatu-Derm product back, rather than pulling it up from the skin.

Green soap contains glycerin which is a solvent. Solvents react with adhesives. Green soap residue on the skin van cause adhesive to stay on the skin once Tatu-Derm is removed. If green soap is used, be sure to rinse the skin thoroughly with water before applying Tatu-Derm. Adhesive removers are effective if neccessary and do not hurt the tattoo.
